I have quite a few pieces of jewelry. Most of it came from jewelry parties that I have had or gone to. If you want to add some different pieces to your collection, hosting a party is the way to go. I know some people don't like to go to them, but I think that they are fun. The problem is that all the jewelry comes in little boxes and I don't have much room for all of those. So, here is my solution. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a fishing tackle box for about $4.00. They are very affordable and you can make the compartments any size you want. I also like that I can see everything in a glance. The foam that is in the bottom came from the boxes that the jewelry came in. I just cut them down to fix. Very easy.
I can't take credit for coming up with this idea. I think it was something that my dad and mom thought of. It works for me!

Great Idea, Darlene! Great for traveling with jewelry, too.
I recently did a WFMW on using ice trays to organize earrings: http://danandkeren.wordpress.com/2008/03/26/organizing-small-things-earrings-and-cuff-links/
That is a FABULOUS idea!
I love it when people are smarter than me!

Oh. My. Word. This is a great idea! Just a few days ago I was lamenting over my inability to keep my jewelry organized. Who knew the solution included tackle boxes???
Thanks for sharing!
That's a great idea, Darlene. I use those boxes for the boys cars, too!
