Hello, Remember Me?

Okay, there we go. I can definitely say that summer has begun. We have been busy this week with VBS every morning. What a wonderful week it had been, too. There have been several children saved this week and we can only praise God for that!

I the afternoon and evenings, we have been spending time at the ballpark, in the pool and I have been doing some walking. We were happy to have this evening to catch up on yard work and some housework. This brings me to a question. Have you ever been mowing the lawn and heard your child calling so you look up just in time to see a hose pointed in your direction? It's a fun time...

Thing 2 and Thing 3 were out and about and stirring up some trouble tonight! As much as they push me to my limit sometimes, they are so much fun. We have really been blessed with some wonderful kids.

Thing 1, or Ethan, was chilling in the house. He took a little tumble on his scooter today and donated a couple of layers of skin to the pavement. I do have to say that it was the grossest thing that I have ever had to tend to as a mother. Seriously.

He never shed a single tear, bless his heart. My boy is growing up and getting just a little tougher.

Yes, that bandage HAD to be that big. That is a huge wound... and did I mention it was gross?
Remember when I told you about the free shoes from Regis and Kelly? Well, here they are. I got them in the mail last week. I really like them. They are super comfortable.

Tomorrow is a big day at VBS. We have our closing program and the word around the 'hood is that I am going in the dunk tank. We'll have to see about that...

Better Late Than Never!

Oh, I am so behind and unfortunately the blog is what's been placed on the back burner for now. I don't like that because I miss all of my bloggy friends~ that would be you! :)

Now to explain the flip-flops. I recently participated in a Bloggy Flip-Flop Swap over at A Kiss, A Hug, and A Squeeze. These are the oh-so-cute flip-flops that I received from Jami. They are a shiny green color and I love them! Thank you so much, Jami!

No, he doesn't REALLY spend five days a week on the golf course, but he does love the game!

A Question to Ponder

I really need to do my flip-flop swap post, but I haven't got the time right now. I promise I will do it very soon. We have VBS next week and I have so much to do to get ready for it.
Anyone else doing Dino Detectives for VBS this year?

I also have LOTS of cute pictures from the weekend and a few stories too but time, it does elude me.

Whew, I'm finally done

I'm finally done with the cakes, but I only managed to take a picture of one of them. This one just happens to be my favorite though.

I did remember to take potty breaks today, but I forgot to eat! One of these days I'll get it right.

Tomorrow is going to be a full but fun day for us. We have 7 open houses and 2 ball games. I have a feeling I'll make up for not eating today, tomorrow! Then I'll go work it off playing softball... It's a win/win situation if you ask me! :)

My Day

I was going to do this big ol' Thursday Thirteen post about my busy day, but I think I can do it in one statement:

I went into the bathroom at our church around 6:30pm to change my clothes. While I was in there I thought I would, you know, take care of business. It was then that I realized that the last time I went to the restroom was when I got up this morning at 7:15.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up!

How Did You Get That Smart?

Ethan recently received The Presidential Award For Academic Excellence for maintaining a high grade point average throughout elementary school. We were very proud of him. I'm thinking that the brains came from his dad because they definitely didn't come from me! The word "honor" never really came into play when my grades were the topic... average was more like it.

Anyway, he's a good kid that's quickly growing into a great young man.

Way to go buddy, we love you!
