I wanted to start off with this picture because, well, I like it and this is my blog! We had a beautiful afternoon here and we enjoyed playing outside. This was the first time for this little one to be on the trampoline and he loved it!

This is going to be a post full of all kinds of randomness... I'm just warning you now. :) Also, I have a little triangle thing staring me in the face, telling me that I basically have 35 minutes before there is a scheduled outage on Blogger.

I guess that means I better get to what I'm sayin' tonight!

Some of you that have been around this blog for awhile may remember... Seriously, who am I kidding, nobody is going to remember this.

Anyway, at the beginning of this year I wrote a post about what the year was like for me last year and where I would like to be heading in the future. (Don't try to find it now though, because I deleted it... sorry, I had reasons)

The verse that I had picked out to be my verse for 2008 was as follows:

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11

I need to come clean right now. At the time that I posted this verse, it was probably not what was truly happening in my heart. In my mind, yes. In my heart, no. I know that now, because at this point I CAN say that this verse has come to life for me. I will not go into all the details of what has transpired, but I am content.

And I honestly feel that it is the first time in my life that I can say it and truly believe it. It's a great place to be. :) I am thankful for a loving God, who gives us ALL that we need, but not all the we THINK we want.

Now, I promised a picture of the apple pie that my wonderful cook of a husband made for me. I got to share it with a few friends and I think that the general thought was: YUM!

So, I think I just might be one of the luckiest ladies in.the.world to call this guy my hubby! (He will be celebrating a birthday next Tuesday. How am I going to top this pie?) This was taken in our pastor's office. Yes, those books are all labeled and shelved in a specific order and yes, I would LOVE to mix them up...just a little! ;) Remember, he deserves it! :)

Ok, I am running out of time, so I am going to make the rest of this short and sweet. Here are my most recent cakes. We had a baby shower at church with a specific theme. Hmmm, I wonder what it was?
And finally, I would like to give this child a break and show you that yes, there are times when I could just eat her up! She's a doll.
I hope that everyone has a happy Wednesday! Whew, I'm done...and with 10 minutes to spare!
Find contentment, Be happy!

Great pics! Thanks for the update. Contentment is easy sometimes, and hard sometimes. I'm glad you're in a good place.

I am glad you have found your happy place. Every one deserves that.

That baby needs some serious kissin'! She is a doll.

Looks like FUN on that trampoline!

LOVE that first picture. And, that pie...I'm having a craving now.. :)

I love your honesty here too, there is something so special when a particular verse comes alive. Thanks for sharing that with us...it's so encouraging. :)

I should stop reading blogs when I'm hungry. Now I'm ready for apple pie and cake. Oh my!! Guess I'll just have to be content without.

Hey by the way, does your hubby give lessons? I think I'd drop over dead if my hubby ever made any type of pie. Seriously, you are one blessed woman.

Much love,
