Linda, over at 2nd Cup of Coffee, is having a little contest. I thought, "Why not join in on the fun?" I just knew that I would find a use for the white elephant gift that we got at a Christmas party this year.
I guess I should first explain what a white elephant gift is. It is something in your home that you don't use or need anymore. For example, one person got a shoe box full of mismatched socks with holes in them. Another good one was a pair of Santa boxers that had "ho, ho, ho" written across the rear. One of the best ones was the one we got (of course). It was a box with a baggie full of pieces of a broken mug and a bottle of superglue.
ANYWAY....my husband felt the need to glue that stinkin' thing together.
He apparently needs more to do! ;)
As you will see from the pictures, a few pieces were, um, not there. I wanted him to pitch it, but he would have nothing of that. Now I am glad that he didn't because it makes the perfect entry for this wonderful contest!! See for yourself:
Don't think for a minute that this bad boy won't be revisiting the white elephant Christmas party next year---Someone else is going to have the pleasure of owning it for a whole year! I just thought that if it was going to be hanging around MY house this year, it was going to have to serve some purpose. I am hoping that purpose is winning this contest for me! As the next picture portrays, it's not good for much of anything else:
If you would be so kind as to do me a favor and on January 26th go over to 2nd Cup and vote for my ugly mug. I would very much appreciate it!!
