Parents Night

Tonight was Parents Night for the play. This is the night that we can take pictures and video. I have been having fun working backstage. Wow! It takes so much to put on a production like this! "Stage right, Stage left, Stage right, give me this prop and that prop!" It's a whirlwind of excitement back there! This is such a great group of kids to work with. The most exciting time was when we had to get the Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion out of their costumes and make-up and back into their overalls in like 30 seconds-- It took 8 of us, but we did it!! I think we may be tired on Monday.

McHale Week

This is McHale week at our house. This means that Ben, Sarah and mommy get to spend EVERY night at McHale Performing Arts Center to get ready for the play this weekend. Tonight was picture night and dress rehearsal. We will be spending around 5 hours a night there from now until Sunday. The kids are having lots of fun and the show is going to be really good. The cast is very talented and they are so young! Enjoy the pictures, and hopefully I will be posting a video soon.

Ben and Sarah played their last ball game of the summer this morning. They were beat out of the tournament. They had fun, most of the time, playing this summer--- time to start thinking about school!

Welcome Blake Matthew

We had a new addition to our family this week. Blake is my newest nephew on Eric's side of the family. He was 7lbs 9oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He is a little jaundice, so he has to be in a Billy Blanket for awhile. Please pray that this problem will correct itself quickly. As you can see, the kids all love him already!

The Wizard of Oz

The two little kids will be performing in a Junior Civic Theater play next weekend. They are doing the Wizard of Oz this year. I am sure that I will have many pictures for you in a couple of weeks. We are super busy with all that the play entails. The kids are having lots of fun though!

Gulf Shores

We just got back from our family trip to Gulf Shores, AL. We , along with 21 other family and friends traveled to the beach for a week. We had such a great time. More pictures to come!
